Baxters Loch Ness Marathon & Festival of Running
Since its launch in 2002, we have organised the Baxters Loch Ness Marathon & Festival of Running, now the largest participatory sporting event in the north of Scotland attracting a record field of 5550 participants in 2007.
Voted in the top 3 UK running events by Runners World, the event is a major charity fundraising event raising a total of £436,150 in 2007. The Festival of Running features a full marathon, 10K and 5K Fun Run plus spectator entertainment.
To date we have secured sponsorship deals and funding from a wide range of organisations and companies: Baxters Food Group, EventScotland, Highland 2007, HIE Inverness & East Highland, GORE Running Wear, Highland Spring, Lucozade Sport and Scottish Co-operative to mention a few.

This unique event took place for the first time in September 2007 when 250 teams of four took on the Monster team duathlon challenge. Experience the drama and excitement of the 120k duathlon course as you run and bike around the shores of Loch Ness. 2008 sees the return of the First Monster on 13-14 September.

First Mini Monster Fun Bike & Run
First Mini Monster is a series of events across Britain (St Albans, Leeds, Bristol, Manchester, Glasgow) aimed at getting families and groups of friends together to enjoy a sporting day out and help raise money for Save the Children
Welcome the World 5K (World Cross Country Championships)

The 36th IAAF World Cross Country Championships take place in Holyrood Park, Edinburgh on 30th March 2008 when the world's greatest cross country runners and thousands of supporters will gather in Scotland's inspiring capital.
Supporting activities confirmed for the weekend include the Welcome the World 5km mass participation race on the morning of the main event.
Encouraging all age groups and abilities to be part of the event weekend, the Welcome the World 5km on Sunday 30th March is aiming for more than 2000 runners and is timed to finish just before the Opening Ceremony.

Britain's Most Beautiful Run (The Outsider Festival)
A new landmark running event as part of The Outsider Festival taking place Midsummer 2007 in the Cairngorm National Park. The Outsider is a celebration of life, of landscape and environment, of outdoor activities and the Highlands.

The Sutherland Raid

The Sutherland Raid offers a new mountain bike experience comprising a combination of team and individual events based around the new world class £0.5 million Highland Wildcat Trails facility at Golspie in the Scottish Highlands.

Event: Glen Affric Duathlon
Client: Strathglass Marketing Group
Sponsored by Fionnar Natural Mineral Water, the Glen Affric Duathlon attracts 150 participants to compete over a 7.5-mile hill run, a 20-mile, off-road mountain bike ride, finishing with a 2-mile run, all within the spectacular setting of the Glen Affric National Nature Reserve in the Highlands.
Caledonian Concepts: PR & marketing campaign (2005-07) to both raise awareness of the event and its sponsor and increase entry numbers year-on-year.

The Northern Marathons Series
The Northern Marathons series is a partnership between four marathons – Midnight Sun Marathon, Norway; Reykjavik Marathon, Iceland; Ruska Marathon, Finland and Loch Ness Marathon, Scotland – each offering a unique running experience against a backdrop of unspoiled natural terrain.
Caledonian Concepts: With funding secured from HIE Inverness & East Highland and the Northern Peripheries Project, a corporate identity was created for the series, including logo, marketing material and website which are used to promote the partnership at marathon expos worldwide.

Around 9,000 runners take to the streets of Edinburgh each June in the Edinburgh Marathon & Hairy Haggis Relay.
Caledonian Concepts: Work with race organisers on various logistics and management roles at the event (2005-06).
Client: Scottish Community Foundation
The State Street Caledonian Challenge is Scotland’s largest outdoor fundraising event and corporate training exercise, raising £1m each year for the Scottish Community Foundation. During the Caledonian Challenge, teams of four walk 54 miles non-stop through a 24-hour period along the West Highland Way, offering comprehensive logistical support along the route.

Strathpeffer in Ross-shire is the spectacular setting for an exciting new walking festival in 2005 – the Strathpeffer Feet Fest. Organised by the Community Association, Feet Fest features a range of diverse and interesting walks, activities and entertainment celebrating the area’s heritage, wildlife and environment.
Caledonian Concepts: PR & marketing campaign (2005) to position the event alongside Scotland’s major walking festivals and increase economic impact to the area.
