Malcolm Sutherland

If events are to run smoothly they need excellent organisation and logistical planning. That’s why it is comforting for our customers and partners to know that Co-founder and Director, Malcolm Sutherland, has been involved for over 20 years in event and expedition management, as well as people development.

He is the Event & Race Director of the Baxters Loch Ness Marathon & Festival of Running, a role he has delivered for the last decade. He is also director of other races and events in Scotland and the UK. His events expertise is wide-ranging and acknowledged in the industry, with various other international marathons and road races consulting with him for advice on their projects.

Malcolm has worked in a range of varied and challenging environments in the UK and abroad, adding to his organisational skills which were first developed as a captain in the UK army’s parachute regiment.

His abilities have taken him far and wide, and Malcolm was previously operations director with the Scottish Community Foundation, as well as a country director for Raleigh International in China, Mongolia and Chile.
