With spectacular scenery, a fantastic atmosphere and a truly memorable experience, it’s no wonder the award-winning Baxters Loch Ness Marathon & Festival of Running has become a global attraction.

In 2025, 10,700 runners from around the world were cheered across the finish line of the marathon, 10K, Corporate Challenge and 5K.

The ‘bucket list’ marathon attracted a record 5800 participants in 2025 – the largest field in the 23-year history of the race – many raising significant funds for charity.

The Festival of Running has plenty to entertain runners and spectators over the race weekend with an Expo, Runners Cafe, guest speakers, street food, live music, kids’ activities and a Wee Nessie kids’ race.

You’ll struggle to find a prettier marathon course anywhere in the world… In fact you can try, but you won’t manage it! Stunning doesn’t do it justice.
